Lucky you if you don’t watch..

Friday, October 12th, 2007

Late last night I put sometime aside to watch “Lucky You” which was released a week or so ago on DVD. Lucky you if you read this before you have to suffer through this movie. I knew it had received bad reviews but never could have guessed it was that bad!!! That is an hour of my life that I will never get back. Where did they find the guy to play the lead actor? Has he ever acted before? Who did the poker consulting? Some of the worse poker table scenes I wish I had never seen. I do not turn off movies halfway through very often but I could only take so much abuse. I felt like I was taking a continuous run of bad beats. Nevertheless I would not recommend watching this movie unless of course it could save your life and that would still be a 50/50 decision.

Poker on the BIG SCREEN!!

Sunday, January 14th, 2007

Poker is set to hit the silver screen in 2007.  It was only a matter of time before Hollywood jumped on the Poker bandwagon.  Hopefully Hollywood put some work in on the movies and not just throw something together to make a quick buck.

The first movie is called “Lucky You” and is scheduled for release in March 2007.  Starring Eric Bana, Drew Barrymore and Robert Duvall.  Poker pros that make cameo appearances inculded Brunson, chan, Negreanu, Hellmuth and many more.  I look forward to posting a review as soon as the movie is released.  Click on the above link to view the trailer.

The second movie is called “Deal“.  “Deal” is set to be released some time mid 2007, no defiant release date but we will keep you updated when we here more.  Burt Reynolds returns to the big screen with Brett Harrison and Shannon Elizabeth leading the cast of “Deal”.  Hachem, Raymer and Moneymaker all have cameo appearances as well.  Click on the above link to view the trailer.

Sadler and Carter will post reviews on both movies once they have been released and encourage everyone to post thier own reviews and comments.
